Through the buddy program, new and interim directors will learn about the Association and connect with colleagues who can provide advice and support. If you are a new or interim director and want to be paired with a “buddy,” please contact the NIDC Chair, with your name and contact information (email, phone, institution). If you are willing to be a buddy to a new or interim director, please also contact the committee chair (see Committee Roster for up-to-date contact information). ChargeThe New & Interim Directors Committee is charged with assessing and implementing opportunities to assist with meeting the needs of AAHSL members who are in new or interim library director positions. A “new” director is defined as someone who has been a director for less than five years. Activities include:
The New & Interim Directors Committee has a liaison from the Future Leadership Committee. The New & Interim Directors Committee works with the Program and Education Committee, Future Leadership Committee, and other AAHSL groups to ensure AAHSL offers programming that would benefit new and interim directors.
