Charge

The Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries is committed to supporting a community that reflects our member organizations where all members’ voices are heard. The Belonging and Community Engagement Committee leverages our members' expertise to advance our initiatives in and through the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries. The Committee:

  • Coordinates with the AAHSL Board to develop tools to support community engagement;
  • Develops Land Acknowledgments for AAHSL meetings;
  • Coordinates AAHSL Connects activities;
  • Works with the AAHSL, MLA, and NNLM leadership and committees to promote a climate of belonging and develop professional development opportunities; and
  • Serves as a resource for AAHSL Board and AAHSL member libraries in support of their belonging and community engagement initiatives.
