AAHSL Evening Library Reception
Friday, November 3, 2017 6:00 - 8:30 pm Harvard Medical School | Countway Library of Medicine
The library will close early for the AAHSL Evening Reception and will be offering tours approximately every thirty minutes. More details on the tour can be found below:
Tours will begin every half hour starting at 6:30 PM on the first floor of the library (look for the sign). Highlights include:
- Start by taking a peek into The Reading Room
- Get an overview of the 1st floor artwork from a Center for History of Medicine staff member
- Proceed up to the 2nd floor, learn about the space, and talk briefly about the Bigelow photos
- Proceed up to the 5th floor to the Warren Anatomical Museum displays where 2 Center for History of Medicine staff members will be stationed to discuss the anatomical display and the Phineas Gauge display
- Finally, step into The Ware Room to view a number of artifacts from the library's collections

There are metered spots available on Huntington Avenue, as well as hospital garages that are pay-to-park. The garages at Brigham and Women’s on Francis Street are closest to the Countway Library. Click here for a list of suggested parking garages nearby.
Public Transportation The Green Line subway is the most convenient option if you wish to take public transportation. Take the Green E Line branch from Arlington Station to Brigham Circle. The Countway Library is across the street from the Brigham Circle stop.
